Hon. Gladys Asmah Is Pronounced Dead. :(

Hon. Mrs. Gladys Asmah, a former minister in the Kuffour administration has died at the age of 78.
Reports reaching SJB shows that she died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Tuesday morning at 11:45am.  Mr David Okruw Aidoo a family spokesperson has told Graphic online.


Mrs. Asmah has been admitted at the hospital for about two weeks now. Last week monday some media houses reported the  former Women and Children Affairs and later Fisheries Minister had died which was a false alarm. 

Mr David Okruw Aidoo, who was a personal aide to Mrs Asmah said her condition has been due to old age and its associated sickness.
She was born in Cape Coast, in the Central Region.

Mrs. Asmah was a Member of Parliament of Takoradi from Jan 1997 to Jan 2009, a Minister of Women and Children Affairs from 2001 to 2005 and Minister of Fisheries from 2005 to 2009.
