Rapper, Drake In Disguise On Streets To Ask How People Think About Him. haha....

Some celebrities avoid social media because they don't want to read the nasty things people say about them. But rapper Drake really wanted to find out what people thought of him and decided the best way to find out was to go undercover and ask strangers on the streets.

In a hilarious sketch filmed for Jimmy Kimmel Live of I Witness News, Drake was described as a chicken head, a fake, childish and more, as he spoke with passers-by on the Hollywood Boulevard. It's hilarious.

Paul Walker to be remembered at MTV Movie Awards.

Paul Walker is set to be honoured at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards this weekend with a special salute from his Fast & Furious franchise co-star Jordana Brewster.
The tragic actor, who died in a car crash in November 2013, will be remembered in a tribute segment, according to the Los Angeles Times.
MTV president Stephen Friedman says, "Paul Walker was a role model for the Mtv audience since the very beginning of his too-short career.
"Our audience grew up with him, from Varsity Blues to the Furious franchise. He was a movie star but one that they could relate to. Paul's humanity and kindness clearly showed through every role.
"We're honoured to be able to spend a moment in this year's Movie Awards to celebrate him."
Mtv Movie Awards executive producer Garrett English tells The Associated Press, "Well, I think we are just really happy and honoured that they were willing to allow us to celebrate him in some way on the show. And his family and friends were willing to have that happen.
"He's been such a big part of the channel, what the channel's audience has been about. He's been such a big part of our show in the past that it felt really right to us, and we're just really happy and honoured that they were willing to allow us to do something for him on the show."
The awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday.

You are still in memory PAUL, R.I.P!

A FAN FREES HIS MIND TO THE NIGERIAN SUPERSTAR "WIZKID" :D

Recently music artiste Wizkid took to one of his social media page to flaunt his money in dollars. He is not the only person used to this kind of act of flaunting money on social media, Davido is also fond of this.
A Fan who is not happy with this, took the issue up and he Writes An Open Letter To Wizkid:
“Young king, you have the world at your feet. You release a song and 24 hours later it gets a million downloads. You have over a million fans on Twitter, and your pictures make the popular page on Instagram. The streets adore you, and the ladies love you. You are the golden goose at EME who lays the golden egg. Sh*t if this was Game of Thrones, you are King Joffrey sitting on the iron throne.
If you take time out of your busy schedule to watch Game of Thrones, you would know King Joffrey isn't the most like-able monarch in the world. You have a lot of money, we know that, but it's kinda childish if you keep referring to your bank account anytime you are criticized. Yes, you post a lot of pictures on Instagram, and your fans are beginning to wonder if your second album will ever drop. As a star people will always say things about you (some true, some false), but you have to remain cool as a boss. Do your thing, and drop those two albums. Your fans are waiting. They don't care about your money. They care about your music.” Lol and this is what we call the freedom of speech.

2014 World Cup: Defender John Mensah still out with injury.

Ghana defender John Mensah is restricted by injury and is yet to return to action for FC Nitra in the Slovakian top-flight.
The 31-year-old suffered a recurrent back injury last month during a league game and has not been able to get involved in any of Nitra's games.
Nitra, who are trapped in the relegation-zone of the Slovakian top division, desperately need the experience of the former Sunderland to help rescue their season but he has got a couple of weeks more to spend on the sidelines.
Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is still checking on the fitness level of his former captain as he looks set to submit his provisional squad to FIFA this month.
Mensah joined Nitra in a bid to gain consistent playing time and regain his fitness to help him make the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Kantanga and Unity Hall will be made mixed if… - KNUST VC

The Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is threatening to convert the two male halls of the University into mixed halls.
According to Professor Otoo Ellis, the leadership of the University will be forced to embark on this quest if students of these halls break any more rules of the University.
In recent years, both halls have developed bad blood against each other which has resulted in some unnecessary casualties on few occasions.
For a rivalry which seemed healthy and friendly in previous years, many fear to involve themselves in any of their activities because it turns violent any time they meet.
These practices have not only affected only them but other persons and social activities in the University.
On two occasions, the annual debate competition by the National Union of Ghana Students have truncated because of the two. Notable is the May clash between the two halls that led to the rustication and arrests of some students.
Leaders of these halls were subsequently denied of graduation as a result. The situation has resulted in the University Authority cancelling the hall week celebrations of particularly the University Hall (Katanga) on several occasions.
But as they start to celebrate this year’s “Hall festival as they call it, the Vice Chancellor paid them a visit. It was part of the first ever tour by the Vice Chancellor to the various halls of residence in the University.
The exercise is to have a direct contact with the students, get their views and complains in order to make the University the best of places for them. The curiosity of one student led him to ask the VC about a rumour in circulation that both male halls could be changed into mixed.
Professor Elis was very candid to answer that the University has already drafted processes on paper and left for stakeholders to consider it. He did not hasten to add that the decision could only be ignited if both male halls (Unity Hall and University Hall) break any more rules of the University.
This becomes the second time a University has threatened to convert a male hall into mixed after the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana went through similar fate when they were purported to have misbehaved in the presence of the chancellor, Kofi Annan. But for the intervention of some prominent old Vandals including the then Mr. John Mahama, it would have been mixed by now.

KNUST STUDENTS DEVELOP A MOBILE PHONE APP FOR FUFU :D

Two university students have teamed up to introduce the new iPhone app, iFufu.
This smartphone app is the brainchild of talented developers Abraham Fokuo and Frank Asare, both third year students of KNUST. The idea behind the app is so breathtakingly simple. Yet the execution is so revolutionary that, with the right funding, it is set to change how everyone looks at fufu in Ghana.
How does the app work? It is simple. The user simply inputs all his preferences for the perfect bowl of fufu into the app's beautiful interface. At launch, options that can be specified will include:

Soup (light soup, palm nut soup, ground nut soup, abunuabunu)

Type of fufu (cassava, plantain, yam, any combination of these)

Four levels of fufu hardness (real soft, soft, hard, real hard)

Meat (goat, chicken, beef, fish, grasscutter, and eventually alligator – mampam nam)

Condiment (salt levels, pepper levels, akakaduro, special spices)

Garnish (okra, garden egg, spinach, cauliflower)

After selecting your order, you input a payment method – you can pay on delivery or enter your debit card number for cashless transactions. The developers promised that deliveries will be made within 15 minutes for any destination close to the Adum-KNUST route.

A quick look at the fufu industry informed him it was not so simple. Fufu was a traditional meal, and over time most people had developed specific preferences. He realized the regular mode of ordering – calling in and giving simple specifications – would not work.
This idea required a means of execution which would fit in seamlessly with existing chop bars and restaurants. Fokuo, who is a Computer Science student, realized he needed someone with the business skill to work out how they could integrate the service providers into their business model.

“I had the idea last year when my roommates and I ordered a pizza. It was a real light bulb moment. I just thought. Why can't we do this for the fufu industry?” – Abraham Fokuo, Developer, iFufu.
It was Frank who came up with the novel idea – create an app for it. And after a year of UI design, coding and recruiting chop bar operators as partners, they are ready to launch iFufu.

According to Fokuo, the main developer of the app, the idea was so simple that he almost rejected it. He thought someone would have done it by now. But a quick Google search informed him otherwise. Quickly, he got some money from a loan shark, recruited Frank, and the rest, as they say, is history. The team registered their company with the brand BoyzBoyzTech, and they've never looked back.

Frank Asare, the business man of the duo, also moonlights as a graphic designer. He is responsible for the slick user interface, and he had this to say about the app:
“Ever since the advent of chop bars, there hasn't been any revolution in the fufu industry, which happens to be a multi-million dollar industry. We are here to take a piece of that cake, while providing excellent services to Ghanaians. We deserve more.”
The developers also promised a fun mode, called the Randomizer. Just input how much you want to spend, shake the phone, and the app instantly makes your order for you. You never know whether it will give you yam fufu with alligator, or even vegetarian fufu with no meat!

So far, they have clinched a deal with 14 major chop bars and restaurants, and the number is growing. Their aim is to be able to cover the entire Kumasi by the end of this year, and move into newer markets.

10 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT GHANA COACH, KWESI APPIAH.

1. Ghana job came earlier than planned-

Appiah was however did not expect it as early as it happened.
2. Kwesi Appiah has no role model as a coach but admires Arsenal's playing style.

3. Appiah won three trophies with Kotoko
He won three trophies for Kumasi Asante Kotoko as a substantive coach in the 95/96 season after deputizing under three different coaches including Malik Jabir between 92-95 season.
He left for London afterwards to pursue his course.
4. Kwesi Appiah rates Opoku Nti as the greatest player he has ever met in his footballing career.
5. He rejected a lucrative contract to play for Italian outfit, Torino.
After Kumasi Asante Kotoko won the Africa Club Championship in 1983, Torino made an offer to lure the gallant defender but  Appiah, who was enjoying his time at the Black Stars and club level,Kotoko, rejected the deal.

8.Kwesi Appiah frowns on the globe-trotting of  expatriate coaches he understudied.
Kwesi Appiah admits to disliking the frequent travelling of the expatriate coaches.
He believes they should spend more time monitoring the local league to fish-out talent rather than travelling outside.
9. Kwesi Appiah's demeanour does not affect his job:  Kwesi Appiah has come under harsh criticisms over the past months over his soft approach.
The former Kotoko man says, his demeanour cannot be taken for granted.
10. Does not have ample social life:  Appiah has been engulfed in his job, that he hardly enjoys a free time.
Appiah has his family based in London and he says,it is always difficult for him to have time for a social life.
AND FINALLY,
Kwesi or Akwasi is not Appiah's name!!!!!!!!!!!
His name is James Appiah. Appiah was rushed into registering for junior football in his native Sunyani. Keen to register the talented defender before the match, club officials of the youth team named him 'Kwesi' just to beat the deadline for registration as James was not available. He subsequently played under the name Kwesi Appiah leaving his James out. As he excelled and attracted interest the name Kwesi Appiah stayed. Remember his name is : James Appiah………

So sad FIFA has ban Barcelona FC from engaging in international transfers for the the next two seasons. :(

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) and Spanish club FC Barcelona for breaches relating to the international transfer and registration of players under the age of 18.
The sanctions follow investigations initially conducted by FIFA Transfer Matching System GmbH (FIFATMS) over the course of last year and subsequently by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee as part of disciplinary proceedings. The RFEF and FC Barcelona were found to have violated several provisions concerning the international transfer and first registration of non-Spanish minors with the club, as well as other relevant regulations with regard to the registration and participation of certain players in national competitions. The investigations concerned several minor players who were registered and participated in competitions with the club over various periods between 2009 and 2013.
Currently, the main provision relating to the protection of minors in the context of international transfers is art. 19 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (the “Regulations”). According to art. 19, international transfers of players are only permitted if the player is over the age of 18. However, the same article stipulates that international transfers of minor players are permitted under three limited circumstances, and such exceptions may only be granted after evaluation by the sub-committee of the Players’ Status Committee.
In this respect, the Disciplinary Committee emphasised that the protection of minors in the context of international transfers is an important social and legal issue that concerns all stakeholders in football. Above all, the committee highlighted that while international transfers might, in specific cases, be favourable to a young player’s sporting career, they are very likely to be contrary to the best interests of the player as a minor. On the basis of this analysis, the committee concluded that “the interest in protecting the appropriate and healthy development of a minor as a whole must prevail over purely sporting interests.”
The Disciplinary Committee underlined that FIFA takes the protection of minors in football very seriously. The protection of minors is one of the key principles included in the agreement concluded between FIFA, UEFA and the European Commission in 2001. The Disciplinary Committee acknowledged that young football players are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse in a foreign country without the proper controls. This particular fact makes the protection of minors in football by the sport’s governing bodies, especially by FIFA, even more important.
With regard to the case in question, FC Barcelona has been found to be in breach of art. 19 of the Regulations in the case of ten minor players and to have committed several other concurrent infringements in the context of other players, including under Annexe 2 of the Regulations.
The Disciplinary Committee regarded the infringements as serious and decided to sanction the club with a transfer ban at both national and international level for two complete and consecutive transfer periods, together with a fine of CHF 450,000. Additionally, the club was granted a period of 90 days in which to regularise the situation of all minor players concerned.
With regard to the RFEF, the Disciplinary Committee determined that the association had also violated art. 19 of the Regulations and other provisions in the context of the transfer and first registration of certain minor players. In this respect, the RFEF was sanctioned with a fine of CHF 500,000 and granted a period of one year in which to regularise their regulatory framework and existing system concerning the international transfer of minors in football.
In addition, the RFEF and the club were issued with a reprimand in accordance with art. 14 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
The web-based Transfer Matching System (TMS) became mandatory for all international transfers of professional male players within the scope of eleven-a-side football in October 2010. As early as 2009, the use of TMS was obligatory in all applications for a first registration of a minor or an international transfer involving a minor in accordance with art. 19 of the Regulations.
FIFA TMS, founded as a FIFA subsidiary in 2007, established a compliance programme in 2010 to ensure that all international transfers of professional football players are conducted through TMS in accordance with the Regulations, and to control the integrity of club and association behaviour and data in TMS. Cases involving violations of the Regulations, in particular Annexes 2 and 3, are identified and investigated and, where applicable, are then forwarded to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee for evaluation and decision. FIFA TMS monitors transfer activity using internally-developed market intelligence, external sources and information received from the FIFA Players’ Status & Governance and Disciplinary & Governance departments.

17year old Ghanaian accepted into all 8 Ivy League colleges in the US

Henry David Thoreau said "WE MUST WALK CONSCIOUSLY ONLY PART WAY TOWARD OUR GOAL, AND THEN LEAP IN THE DARK TO OUR SUCCESS".

In the next month, Kwasi Enin must make a tough decision: Which of the eight Ivy League universities should he attend this fall?

A first-generation American from Shirley, N.Y., the 17-year-old violist and aspiring physician applied to all eight, from Brown to Yale.

The responses began rolling in over the past few months, and by late last week when he opened an e-mail from Harvard, he found he’d been accepted to every one. School district officials provided scanned copies of acceptance letters from all eight on Monday. Yale confirmed that it was holding a spot for Enin.

The feat is extremely rare, say college counsellors — few students even apply to all eight, because each seeks different qualities in their freshman class. Almost none are invited to attend them all. The Ivy League colleges are among the nation’s most elite.

“My heart skipped a beat when he told me he was applying to all eight,” says Nancy Winkler, a guidance counsellor at William Floyd High School, where Enin attends class. In 29 years as a counsellor, she says, she’s never seen anything like this. “It’s a big deal when we have students apply to one or two Ivies. To get into one or two is huge. It was extraordinary.”
For most of the eight schools, acceptance comes rarely, even among the USA’s top students. At the top end, Cornell University admitted only 14% of applicants. Harvard accepted just 5.9%.
But Enin has “a lot of things in his favour,” says college admissions expert Katherine Cohen, CEO and founder of IvyWise, a New York-based consulting firm.
For one thing, he’s a young man. “Colleges are looking for great boys,” Cohen says. Application pools these days skew heavily toward girls: The U.S. Department of Education estimates that females comprised 57% of college students in degree-granting institutions last year. Colleges — especially elite ones — are struggling to keep male/female ratios even, so admitting academically gifted young men like Enin gives them an advantage.
He ranks No. 11 in a class of 647 at William Floyd, a large public school on Long Island’s south shore. That puts him in the top 2% of his class. His SAT score, at 2,250 out of 2,400 points, puts him in the 99th percentile for African-American students.
He will also have taken 11 Advanced Placement courses by the time he graduates this spring. He’s a musician who sings in the school’s a capella group and volunteers at Stony Brook University Hospital’s radiology department. Enin plans to study medicine, as did both of his parents. They emigrated to New York from Ghana in the 1980s and studied at public colleges nearby. Both are nurses.
Being a first-generation American from Ghana also helps him stand out, Cohen says. “He’s not a typical African-American kid.”
Enin says he got the idea to apply to all eight in 10th or 11th grade, discovering that each has “their own sense of school spirit” and other qualities he liked. He also applied to three State University of New York campuses and Duke — and yes, they have all accepted him.
In a phone interview, Enin said Princeton so far has offered the most generous aid package. But he has yet to get offers from Columbia, Cornell or Harvard. Either way, he’ll need to accept a place in the class of 2018 somewhere by May 1. He wants to pursue both music and medicine.
Cohen says he’s “sitting in a very good place right now — I think he can negotiate the very best financial aid package he can get” at his top-choice school. “Almost any of them would do anything for this type of candidate,” Cohen says.
She advises that Enin call or write each of the eight and let them know that he’s got a slot in each other’s freshman class. They’ll compete to get him to show up in the fall.
Once he decides, she says, he should write letters to the seven runners-up saying he’s “honoured to have been admitted.” After all, he’s got to keep his options open for graduate school.

17-Year-Old Ghanaian Boy Stabs Mother To Death.

The mother of four who hails originally from Ghana was killed in the night from Saturday to Sunday around 3:00am in the town near Dusseldorf with a knife.
The police arrested the son. He is to be brought before a judge on Sunday.
It is still unclear why the boy allegedly the perpetrated this barbaric act. However, neighbours reported that mother and son had a difficult relationship. There seems to have been an altercation between the two in the tragic night. Not the first time: According to police reports, there was already a similar escalation on 9 March, during which the mother suffered minor injuries. The police then banned the boy from entering the parental home for 10 days.
The staircase was covered in blood as the police entered the apartment house in the night. Also, the doorbells of neighbours were covered with blood: the woman is said to have tried to save herself.
Tragic: The younger sibling of the alleged offender, two girls (5 and 14) and a boy (9), were in the apartment at the time of the incident. The fire department brought them with a cart out of the house, so they did not have to see the dead mother in the stairwell.
The suspect, who had fled on foot, was arrested by the police around 7.40 am in the morning.

Michael Jackson's New Album To Be Released In May.

When Michael Jackson released his 1995 double album, History, he promoted it by sailing a 10-metre tall statue of himself through London, down the Thames. The statement was clear: Michael Jackson was back and as brilliantly OTT as ever. Fast forward 19 years and Michael Jackson is, well, dead, and the record industry doesn't have the money to spunk on big floating effigies anymore. But there's still an air of wonder and mystery about a "new" Michael Jackson album, despite2011's first posthumous release, Michael, being an unmitigated disaster. Unfortunately, pop music in 2014 doesn't wait for massive proclamations and grand gestures; news leaks on Twitter before you can say "major label cash in".
Last week a number of journalists received an email inviting them to a playback for a mysterious new album. The only information included was the location – a ridiculously swanky hotel in Knightsbridge – the time (6pm) and the words "The Best You've Never Heard". That was it. Writers then had to ring the PR to find out who it was, with no confirmation taking place via email in case someone decided to hack in and leak it all on Twitter. Which, unfortunately, is sort of what happened, when Epic – Jackson's label – decided to announce news of a new Jackson album early, with dribs and drabs of information starting to emerge on Twitter, before a full press release was sent out yesterday lunchtime. Hardly pushing a massive barge down a river, but what can you do in straitened times?
So what do we know? We know the album is called Xscape, named after a Rodney Jerkins-produced song recorded during the sessions for Jackson's last proper album, Invincible, and now reworked by Jerkins for the new album. We know the lead producer on the album, brought in by Epic Records CEO LA Reid to "contemporise" songs from Jackson's vast song archive, is Timbaland and that other producers involved include Stargate, Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon and John McClain.

What we still can't tell you are any of the song titles, with the journalists gathered in the hotel's white 80s sci-fi nightclub nightmare of a function room told the song titles won't be shared and can't be mentioned because they're still being finalised (if I could hazard a guess I'd say they're keeping the song titles back because a lot of the songs have leaked already and it's not as exciting to hear the words "eight new Michael Jackson songs" if you can easily find demos for them online). All phones have to be handed in on the door, while this poor frontline journalist had to fight it out with two security guards to be able to carry in a bag containing a laptop I didn't really want dumped at the back of a cupboard (in the end I had to take the laptop out of the bag to show that it wasn't rigged with some sort of special recording device.)
Once inside the chatting throng are greeted by pictures of Jackson on the wall, as well as the "teaser" poster that was included in the invitation, alongside one that reads "Hearing Is Believing" (apparently these posters have already started appearing around London to help generate intrigue). After opening the whole event somewhat crassly with an advert for a new Sony mobile phone – which will be pre-loaded with the album – the MD of Sony UK tells us that in order to show off the mobile phone's excellent sound quality the album will be played through a phone over the speakers. Given that we've all just had our own phones taken off us, everyone assumes he's joking, but he's not; the first ever play anywhere in the world of a Timbaland-curated Michael Jackson album takes place through a mobile phone. Unfortunately it sounds like it as well – with nearly all of the songs lost amidst reverberating bass and too-high drum claps.
Despite the failing sound there's enough on show to categorically say, without question, that Xscape is leagues ahead of Michael, an album marred not only by the appearance of Akon but by accusations that some of the songs featured a Michael Jackson impersonator. Opening with a burst of disco-tinged soul, it's an album that seems to focus on songs from pre-90s Jackson, with the first song a light and airy take on the effortless Off the Wall era. With a youthful-sounding Jackson skipping in-between expensive-sounding production, it's reminiscent, somewhat ironically, of Justin Timberlake, especially his The 20/20 Experience double album. In fact, a lot of the Timbaland productions slip neatly into either Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds-era – all squelchy beats, big drum claps and lashings of synth strings – or the more opulent sound of The 20/20 Experience. The second song – possibly called Chicago and cited by Timbaland as a future single – falls into the former camp, with Jackson utilising a harder vocal delivery that's encased in a big industrial melange of jackhammer beats.

While the album's stated purpose of making Jackson sound contemporary is followed to the letter, there are times when the production overwhelms songs that are perhaps not sturdy enough to support the added superstructure. The third song played is another Off the Wallesque, mid-paced love song with a youthful, almost naive-sounding vocal. It feels very much like a song that didn't make it on to an old album, and while the production is good – there's an amazing rolling beat throughout – it still feels slight. And when one of the songs directly recalls the bassline from The Way You Make Me Feel it seems like a step too far; a reminder again that these were songs that Jackson, ever the perfectionist, didn't finish for good reason.
Thankfully five songs in there's a proper, undeniably amazing hit in the shape of what may or may not finally be called Do You Know Where Your Children Are (the original incarnation of the song leaked in 2012). Opening with a delicate flurry of cascading 80s synths, it feels like the perfect embodiment of the old and the new, with some vintage “hee hee” ad-libs peppering the sophisticated mesh of electronics. It also features a typical Jackson pre-chorus section that then opens out into the album's best chorus, before a great false stop moment heralds an even more bonkers final third, with Jackson hee-heeing and ow-ing his head off.
The sixth song, Slave to the Rhythm, first appeared last summer, when a high quality version leaked as a duet with Justin Bieber (and again in snippet form on a mobile phone advert). Thankfully, Bieber is missing from the final version, which Timbaland has used to show off all his production touches – lashings of beatboxing in the intro, loads of vocal tics throughout, big spidery bassline and, as with some of his other songs on Xscape, barely any space for the song to breathe. Thankfully Slave to the Rhythm – thought to have been recorded initially for Dangerous in 1991 and then left off Invincible at the last minute – is strong enough to fight its way through the clutter. From there we get perhaps the album's only true lowpoint in a number that feels like about three different songs fighting for attention, before finishing with Jerkins' Xscape, the only song that sounds like a bit of a struggle vocally, with Jackson's various vocal tics becoming a bit of a hindrance rather than something more carefree. It also feeds on the paranoia Jackson brought into his music after the child abuse allegations of the mid-90s with lines like “I won't hide away” and “I can't do what I want to do” snarled rather than sung. But again, the production is sprightly, with synth strings and horn samples popping up unannounced and a bit towards the end where the various layers fall away to leave some brilliant ad-libs and the final word, “escape”.
Xscape feels like an album created to showcase a handful of Jackson songs that on the whole deserve to be heard. You get the immediate sense that a lot of time (and money) has been spent on these songs and that care's been taken to show the songs off in the best light possible. While some of them are very obviously album tracks at best, there are flashes of genius that haven't been diluted or watered down. In fact, Xscape manages to bring most of them to life.
